Orania.Berlin1966 wurde der heiß ersehnte Besuch der Beatles in Berlin abgesagt. "Beatles für Berlin gestorben" titelte damals die Berliner Zeitung. Schlussendlich gab es für die Berliner Fans Sonderzüge zu dem Konzert nach Hamburg. Heute Abend führt Ihr Weg nur bis Kreuzberg! Der renommierte Jazz Pianist Matti Klein präsentiert ein ausgewähltes Beatles Programm. Es hat wohl jeder von uns seinen Favoriten und noch viele Facetten zu entdecken. Matti Klein wurde als Gründungsmitglied der Deutschen Jazz-Funk Kultband Mo'Blow bekannt und tourt international mit seinem ebenso gefeierten Matti Klein Soul Trio. Darüber hinaus arbeitete er im Studio mit Nils Landgren, Sarah Connor und Herbert Grönemeyer, tourt als Musical Director und Keyboarder mit der brasilianischen Soul-Ikone Ed Motta und ist seit 2019 Artistic Director des Orania.Berlin.

In 1966, the eagerly awaited tour stop of the Beatles in Berlin was cancelled. "Beatles doomed for Berlin" ran the title of the local newspaper Berliner Zeitung at the time. Ultimately, special trains were chartered to allow Berlin based fans to attend the concert in Hamburg. Tonight, you only have to travel to Kreuzberg! The renowned jazz pianist Matti Klein presents a hand-selected Beatles program. Maybe you will be lucky and catch your favourite tune. Matti Klein became known as a founding member of the popular German jazz-funk band Mo'Blow and tours internationally with his equally celebrated Matti Klein Soul Trio. He has also worked in the studio with Nils Landgren, Sarah Connor and Herbert Grönemeyer, is on the road as musical director and keyboardist with Brazilian soul icon Ed Motta and has been Artistic Director of Orania.Berlin since 2019.
