SVM3 is a trio led by pianist and keyboardist Svetlana Marinchenko. Their fusion of styles and different musical currents can be summarized under the term "modern jazz": The drama of Rachmaninov with the dreaminess of Debussy, electronic effects, groove and rock energy create a special musical language.
Svetlana Marinchenko is an award-winning jazz pianist from Moscow with Ukrainian roots. After successes in Russia and the recording of her first album „Present Simple“ with some of the most prominent representatives of the Russian jazz scene (Anton Davidyants, Peter Ivshin), she moved to Germany to study. With her trio, she is actively exploring the German jazz scene; she released her CD "Between the Times " in September 2023 on Neuklang with Niklas Lukassen on bass and Tobias Backhaus on drums.
In Berlin, the pianist will be accompanied by her German colleagues Tom Berkmann on double bass and Mathis (MAGRO) Grossmann on drums. The dizzying improvisations, the soulful and thoughtful melodies, the interplay between the musicians, the energy and the positive charge of high-quality jazz music - this is what you can expect at SVM3 concerts.

Jazz im Kiez is a weekly jazz concert series representing talented musicians in Fuk;s Bar and Oblomov; two marvellous bars in Kreuzkölln / Reuterkiez. We are on summer break from May to September 2024, but we suspend the summer break for this beautiful concert!
